Privacy Policy

Career Manager (“we”, “our”) is an independent companion app for EA Sports FC 26 and FC 27 career mode. This policy explains what data the app and this website collect, why, and how you can control it. Career Manager is not affiliated with Electronic Arts.

To delete your FC Career Manager account without reinstalling the app, see Account and data deletion below.

What we collect

  • Account data. If you choose to sign in, we use Firebase Authentication (Sign in with Apple or Google). We store the identifier Firebase gives us, the email address associated with your chosen sign-in method, and the display name that provider returns. You can use the app fully without signing in — sign-in only enables syncing shortlists, settings and support conversations across devices.
  • Synced app data. When signed in, content you create in the app is stored on our servers so it carries over between devices: shortlist entries and the notes and asking prices you add to them, saved searches, your My Squad line-ups, career names, and your account preferences.
  • Usage analytics. We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand which features are used: screen views, feature taps, the search terms you type into Scout and team search, and subscription events such as which plan was purchased. While you are signed in these events carry your account identifier, so they are linked to you rather than anonymous. Signed out, they are tied only to an app instance.
  • Crash and error diagnostics. We use Sentry to capture stack traces, device information (OS version, device model) and a sample of performance traces when the app crashes or a request fails, so we can fix bugs. Reports carry your account identifier when you are signed in; they never contain the contents of your data.
  • Purchase data. Subscription purchases are handled by Apple’s App Store on iOS and Google Play on Android. RevenueCat processes purchase records and your app user identifier to validate subscriptions and manage access to Pro. We receive an entitlement status (are you subscribed, and to which plan) and log the purchase — its plan, price and transaction identifier — as an analytics event. We never see your payment details.
  • Support messages. If you open a case in the app’s Support Center, what you write and our replies are stored against your account so the conversation survives across devices.
  • Push notifications. If you allow notifications, we store the push token issued through Apple or Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send them, together with which notification categories you enabled. Turning notifications off in your device settings stops this.
  • Advertising data. The free tier shows ads, so the ad SDKs we embed collect device identifiers and ad interaction data — see Advertising and tracking below.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell your data.
  • We don’t collect your contacts or precise location. A photo you choose for a squad logo is processed on your device. Advertising SDKs may infer an approximate location from your IP address.
  • We never put core features behind an ad: player data, database updates, search and player profiles are always free of them.
  • Pro subscribers see no ads at all.

Advertising and tracking

The free tier is supported by ads served through Google AdMob, with Unity Ads as a mediation partner bidding for the same slots. To serve them, those SDKs collect device identifiers (including Apple’s Advertising Identifier, IDFA, if you allow it, and Android’s advertising ID where available), ad interaction data such as impressions and taps, and coarse technical data such as your IP-derived region and device type. When personalized advertising is permitted, this data may be used to track you across other companies’ apps and websites — which is why the App Store privacy label for this app lists Identifiers and Usage Data under “Data Used to Track You”.

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland a Google-certified consent form (UMP) asks for your consent choices; on iOS, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt asks whether this app may track you. Declining either does not remove ads, but they become non-personalized and the IDFA is not read. You can change your mind at any time: Apple’s prompt via iOS Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking, and the consent form via Account ▸ Legal ▸ Privacy choices in the app.

Analytics, crash reporting, sync and support are not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Player and club data

Player names, ratings, attributes, and club information shown in the app are sourced from the public game data of EA Sports FC 26 and FC 27. This data describes the game, not you, and isn’t personal data.

Account and data deletion

To request deletion of your FC Career Manager account and associated data without using the app, email [email protected] from the email address linked to your account, with the subject “FC Career Manager account deletion”. We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing the request. Do not send your password or payment details.

You can delete your account and everything synced with it — shortlist entries and their notes, saved searches, My Squad line-ups, account settings and support cases — at any time from Account settings in the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Analytics, advertising and crash records already held by Google, Unity and Sentry are retained by those providers on their own schedules; once your account is gone they no longer carry an identifier that points back to it.

Deleting an account does not cancel an active store subscription. Manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play or the App Store. Store transaction records may be retained by the payment provider.

Third-party services

We rely on the following processors, each governed by its own privacy policy: Firebase (Google) for authentication, analytics, push notifications and remote configuration; Google AdMob and Unity Ads for advertising; Sentry for crash and error diagnostics; RevenueCat for subscription validation and entitlements; and Apple’s App Store or Google Play for payments and subscription management.

Children

Career Manager is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we’ll update the effective date above and, where required, notify you in the app.
